Fremont Street on Fast Forward

I went down to Fremont Street and set up my camera.  I let it run for about 15 minutes.  Then I compressed the video to about a minute,   So here's the video.

Duke of Fremont Street at the Grand Poker Tournament Golden Nugget

I was at the Golden Nugget the other night and ran into the Duke of Fremont Street.  I sat down with him for a few minutes and caught up.  Here's the video,

Old Vegas Photo the Birdcage Casino Fremont Street Las Vegas

The Birdcage Casino was located in the 100 block of Fremont Street Next to the Mint.  It went out of business in 1959.  The mint took the property over and made it a part of that Casino which eventually became Binion's.  This is a Photograph from April 1959

The Fitzgerald Casino is Now the D

Remodeled and renamed the Fitzgerald in now the D.  It is rumored to be named after the owner who's last name starts with a D.  The casino  has an updated modern look.  There is a new Log Bar inside and a new bar in The Fremont Experience.  Up stairs is retro Vegas with vintage slots.  Bigger show room and a new outside escalator to the Sky Bar round out the major attractions.  Here's a short video.

The Duke of Fremont Street Antes Up for Charity

On October 26th the second annual Pinstrips and Poka Dots charity poker tournament was held.  There was a good turn out and everyone had a good time.  The Clarke County Museum Guild was the real winner.  Lots of celebrities and the drinks were free.  Here's a video.

Binions Daily Deep Stack at 2 PM

Binions Casino has a daily tournament at 2 p.m..  Saturdays and Sundays there is a 5000 dollar guarantee.  Deep stack structure and a good turn out makes for one of the best tournaments in Vegas.  Binions is located on Fremont Street across from the Golden Nugget.  Here's a video.

Thai Food On Fremont Street

Le Thai is located at 6th and Fremont.  Good food and attentive staff.  Here's a video of the place.

Hugo's Cellar Fremont Street Las Vegas

Hugo's Cellar is located in the Four Queens Hotel and Casino.  This restaurant is consistently rated as one of the best places to eat in Las Vegas.  I have eaten here many times and it is a great experience.  Here's a video of the inside of the restaurant.

Eating at the Hash House a Go Go

So the Plaza Hotel has been remodeled and has been open now for some months.  There are all these new restaurants in the Plaza and I hadn't tried any of them.  So I went in and went to the Hash House.  I am not one for fancy food.  Just good old comfort food.  I have to admit that I eat a lot of hamburgers.  So that's what I got at the Hash House.  They have these Stuffed burgers.  Basically you can get them stuffed with all sorts of things,  They take two patties and form a cavity to fill with bacon or what  ever.  I just had cheese.  The meat adds up to about a pound.  It was a little more than I could eat.  It cost about $8.  They add a little flare to the dish with pasta that looks like straw and a garnish of salsa, if you like that kind of stuff.  Good, but  not the best burger on Fremont Street.  Here's the Video.

Main Street Station RV Park Drive Through Las Vegas

In the Downtown area there are two RV Parks that you can use.  Main Street Station and The Western RV Park.  Main Street is located at the north east corner on the downtown area next to the Main Street Station Casino.  Here is a video of a drive through.

Oscar Goodman's New Restaurant Fremont Street Las Vegas

Oscar's Restaurant is now up and running in Las Vegas.  Located on Fremont Street at the Plaza Hotel the restaurant has great views of Fremont Street.  The advertising phrase is Beef Booze and Broads.  Its a nice place, here's the videos.

Berlin Wall Section at the Main Street Station

Just off Fremont Street Experience is the Main Street Station.  Within the Casino in a men's room is a section of the Berlin Wall.  The section is mounted in such a manner that allow you to do your business on the wall.  Here's a video.

Chart House Restaurant Fremont Street Golden Nugget Las Vegas

Really never knew it was there.  I have been by this restaurant hundreds of times.  This is one of my favorite places to eat.  The center piece of this restaurant is a huge aquarium.  Here's the video.

Police harass me at Movie shoot on Fremont Street

I was walking down Fremont Street and came upon a movie shoot.  So I took my camera out and started to take a picture.  A movie person tells me that pictures are not allowed.  I'm in public and know that I can take a picture.  The next thing I know a police office is telling me to leave.  I leave but go in a direction different than he suggests.  Three officers chase me down and threaten me.  The first part of the video is not focused on anything as I walk through a casino.  When I come out, the police confront me.

NASCAR On Fremont Street Las Vegas

NASCAR is back in Las Vegas and they had an event on Fremont Street.  The cars were on display and the drivers made personal appearances. 

Golden Nugget Poker Room Video Fremont Street Las Vegas

The poker room at the Golden Nugget is tucked away at the back of the casino floor.  The tables and chairs are comfortable.  There is almost always a 1 - 2 No limit game that requires a $100 buy in.  There is also a 2 - 4 limit game with a $20 buy in .  TV are everywhere so you can watch your favorite game while you a playing.

Binions Steak House Fremont Street Las Vegas

On the top floor of Binion's Casino on Fremont Street in Las Vegas is the Steak House.  I first ate here over 20 years ago.  The food was great then and it still is today.  I took this video in the middle of the day.  The views are even better in the evenings.  It is a good place for a fine dining experience.

New Mediterranean Cafe Opens on Fremont Street Las Vegas

Locate near the corner of Fremont and Las Vegas Blvd. a new Mediterranean Cafe recently.  It is across from the Heart Attack Grill.  It is a small space with only a dozen or so tables.  The food was very good.
