Thanks for the article from Isaiah Gaines
For the past five years, my husband and I have lived in a planned community. We wound up here because we both thought we wanted a new construction home near a larger city. This has not proven to be what we wanted at all. We thought we would adjust to having neighbors within shouting distance but we didn’t. In a nutshell, we found out that privacy was way more important to us than a brand new house. So we are moving back to the country. We know we are giving up some of the conveniences of city living—grocery stores on every corner, lots of restaurants nearby and shopping for anything you want and/or need close by. However, we are convinced the beauty of living in the middle of 4 acres without neighbors right out our back door will be worth it. The biggest drawback would be limited access to technology—internet access, good cell phone service and cable TV. We used http://www.wildbluedeals.com/ to get great internet service and satellite TV solved another problem. Since good cell phone service was out of our control, you’ll just have to email me if you need to chat!
